Our story

Est. 1996 — thirty years

We learned this craft in Japan, in Australia and in England, and we have practised it in one place ever since.

Snow White has been on Soi Sukhumvit 23 since 1996. In that time we have not opened a second branch, franchised the name, or taken on work we could not finish properly. We clean by hydrocarbon — gentler on fibre and colour than the solvent most of this city still uses — and we finish by hand, because a gown that has been pressed by machine looks like a gown that has been pressed by machine.

Our customers are not the reason we are careful, but they are the reason we are still here. We do not name them. If you know, you know.

The gown of a lifetime, kept for a lifetime.

Cleaning a wedding gown is not the same as keeping one. The Vault is our preservation programme: the gown hand-cleaned, treated, folded in unbuffered acid-free tissue, and sealed into an archival box built to survive this climate — with a numbered certificate that says exactly what was done to it.

Why a box built abroad is not enough

Textile conservators hold silk between 45 and 55 percent relative humidity. Bangkok lives above 70 for most of the year. A preservation box designed for a dry climate will not hold that line here — which is why every Vault carries its own tropical humidity kit, silica gel with a colour-change indicator card, and is opened, inspected and re-folded once a year by appointment.

That annual visit is the Vault Check. It is the difference between a gown that is boxed and a gown that is kept.

What we take, we take through the whole process

Dry cleaning only. We do not offer repairs or alterations, wash-only or per-kilo laundry, or household pieces such as curtains and rugs. Everything that comes in is inspected, treated, cleaned and hand-finished — whatever condition it arrives in.

Wedding gowns

Hand cleaning, stain treatment, bead and button re-securing, and preservation through the Bridal Vault. Every gown quoted after we have seen it.

On consultation

Couture & everyday

Shirts, blouses, tailoring, dresses, coats and knitwear. Hydrocarbon cleaning, hand finishing, and the Cloth Reviving Service for pieces that have lost their hand.

Cleaning and conditioning for bags, jackets and shoes. Full re-colouring on request only. Hermès, Chanel, Loro Piana, Louis Vuitton and exotics are always quoted individually.

Collection and delivery are free within 15 km, from ten pieces a bill, booked a day ahead. Wedding gowns travel anywhere — no radius, no minimum.

One and only

There is one Snow White, and it has never moved.

We have a single store, at 37/1 Soi Sukhumvit 23, and we have never opened another. Businesses trading under our name at Sukhumvit 33, Chidlom and Phayathai are not connected to us in any way. Neither is the massage parlour that shares the name online. If you are not certain you are dealing with us, message the LINE account on this page — that is the only one we answer.

The eight we are asked most

How much does it cost to clean a wedding gown?
Wedding gowns are quoted on consultation. Every gown differs in fabric, construction, beadwork and condition, so we do not publish a single figure — and we will not quote one sight-unseen. Send a photograph on LINE and we will tell you the same day what it needs and what it will cost.
How long does it take?
From four days for ordinary garments. We do not give a fixed date before seeing the piece, because the honest answer depends on what it needs. There is no express surcharge; same-day is agreed in person only, with the garment in hand, and only for shirts and ordinary dresses. Bridal preservation takes considerably longer and is agreed at the consultation.
Do you collect and deliver?
Yes, and it is free within 15 km of the atelier, from ten pieces a bill, booked at least a day ahead. Wedding gowns are the exception in your favour — we collect and return those anywhere, with no radius and no minimum.
What do you not do?
We are a dry cleaner only. No repairs or alterations, no wash-only or per-kilo laundry, and no household pieces such as curtains, rugs or bedding. What we do accept, we take through the entire process — we do not part-clean a garment or return it half-finished.
What happens if something is damaged?
We answer for damage at ten times the service price of the piece. A free re-clean is available if the issue is raised at the store, so please check your garments when you collect them. Pieces left uncollected for more than 365 days are no longer covered.
How do I pay, and is VAT included?
All payment methods are accepted — cash, transfer, card and cheque. The prices on this page are before VAT. VAT is added on the bill, and a full tax invoice is issued on request.
Are the other Snow White shops yours?
No. We have one store only, at 37/1 Soi Sukhumvit 23, and we have never opened a branch or franchised the name. Shops using our name at Sukhumvit 33, Chidlom and Phayathai are not us, and neither is the massage business that shares the name online. Our LINE account, @snowwhitedryclean, is the only channel we answer.
How long will you keep my garments?
We hold finished pieces for 365 days. After that our liability for them ends, so if you are travelling or cannot collect, send us a message on LINE and we will hold them properly and arrange a delivery that suits you.
